NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Investigators have ruled a suspicious weekend funeral home fire as arson.

Firefighters responded to the Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery on Gallatin Pike just before 2 a.m. Sunday.

Upon their arrival, crews discovered a small fire in the front room, but sprinklers inside the building had also extinguished multiple other fires set in different rooms prior to their arrival.

The funeral home sustained minor damage to several office areas.

Police believe the fire was started following a burglary at the funeral home. Several computers were taken and other items including American Veteran flags were vandalized.

The investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
