Citizens identify burglary suspects, 2 arrested

HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. -

Two men accused of burglary were arrested Tuesday after Hendersonville police released video surveillance of the crime to the public.

Lucas Pence, 30, and Ryan Flatford, 24, were identified by citizens and arrested for car burglaries that occurred on August 27.

Pence and Flatford allegedly burglarized two vehicles in the area of New Shackle Island Road.  

Authorities located video footage of the suspects during the investigation and released the evidence to media.

The men were apprehended through a joint effort between Madison, Metro, Goodlettsville and Hendersonville police.

Pence is being held in Metro jail on unrelated charges.  However, a hold has been placed on him for two counts of burglary, two counts of theft, one count of credit card fraud and one count of vandalism.

Flatford is charged with two counts of burglary, two counts of theft and one count of vandalism.

He was transported to the Sumner County Jail and is set to be in court October 9.
