The community of Scottsboro, just west of Nashville, has kept an annual tradition going strong for over 50 years.
Saturday was their 57th barbecue event held to celebrate the community's history.
News 2 spoke with the pit master, Tony McDonald, who has been cooking up barbecue for years.
This year, there were 500 pounds of chicken and a ton of pork for McDonald to barbeque.
"We generally have a good crowd. We have a band and all. We sell out generally every year. There's very few times that we've had barbeque left over," said McDonald.
The town was named after Tom Scott, who ran a popular store in the community in the 1850's.
