NASHVILLE, Tenn.A Nashville cab driver who alleges former Tennessee Titan Keith Bulluck robbed him early Sunday morning broke his silence in an exclusive interview with News 2 Wednesday night.
Habib Hashi did not want to comment about the incident that landed the 36-year-old former linebacker behind bars and asked that his face not be shown on camera.
"Keith Bulluck, I don't want to talk about it," Hashi said. "The next day, I know him. But I don't watch football. I don't like it that much."
Hashi said he has been in hiding since Bulluck allegedly ripped a $100 bill out of his hand outside a downtown Nashville nightclub. He also says he has received threats.
However, Hashi's credibility has come into question since Bulluck's arrest. He has previously been convicted of filing a false traffic accident report.
"In the last three days, a lot of people called my cell phone, threatening me," Hashi said, "They're calling me. They say, this will happen, that will happen."
Bulluck's lawyer, Brian Lewis, told News 2 Tuesday his client "will be vindicated" of the charges against him.
Bulluck is due in court September 26.
