DYERSBURG, Tenn. -

Over 150 jobs will soon be coming to Dyersburg thanks to plans for a new Dot Foods distribution center.

State officials said in a statement Monday that the facility will be the company's first distribution warehouse in Tennessee.

The announcement came from Governor Bill Haslam and state Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bill Hagerty.

The distribution center will be a $24 million investment for Dyer County.

The CEO of Dot Foods said Dyersberg was chosen because it's so close to other locations and the area's culture fits with the company.

The facility will be 166,000 square feet and service customers in middle and western Tennessee, as well as Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas and western Kentucky.

It's scheduled to open in September 2014.
