A man threw a computer at an officer after police surrounded the business he was burglarizing late Tuesday night.Authorities responded to a burglary alarm at Elite Roofing at 1048 Jefferson Street just before Midnight.Officers reported they found forced entry to the back door, established a perimeter and called canine units. As they waited for canine back-up, the suspect exited the back door.He saw police and threw a computer monitor at an officer, striking him in the arm, causing bruising and swelling.The suspect, later identified as 48-year-old Phillip Noe, went back through the business in an attempt to escape.
He crashed through the front window and landed on the sidewalk at the feet of two officers. After a brief pursuit on foot, he was taken into custody without further incident.Canine arrived and cleared the premises for further suspects.
Police also stated they found that Noe had also kicked in four interior doors. Each door is valued at $200.He is charged with misdemeanor evading arrest, theft, burglary and aggravated assault on a police officer.
He is being held in lieu of $65,000 bond.Noe has 50 local arrests that date back to January 1983.
