Singer-songwriter Chris Young has been released from a Colorado hospital after suffering a dangerous bacterial infection.
The 28-year-old was hospitalized last week after he began to go into septic shock on his tour bus while en route to a concert in Montana.
Young was forced to cancel several shows after he underwent emergency surgery to make sure the infection did not spread.
Young returned to his Nashville home over the weekend. Doctors expect him to make a full recovery.
"I want to thank all of my fans for their thoughts and prayers," Young said, adding, "I received amazing care from Dr. Suarez, Dr. Gill and Dr. Canfield and all the I.C.U. nurses who literally saved my life. I'm happy to be home and can't wait to get back out on the road."
Young is expected to continue his tour with Brad Paisley on Thursday in Mountain View, California.
