A woman was forced into the trunk of a car during an altercation with her boyfriend Thursday morning.
The boyfriend, Otis Maclin Jr., was arrested and charged with domestic assault and aggravated kidnapping.
The alleged assault occurred around 8:30 a.m. Thursday morning in the 800 block of Edgehill Avenue.
The victim told police she and Maclin got into a verbal confrontation during which he forced her into the truck of his car.
According to an affidavit, Maclin slammed the lid on the victim's arm before speeding away.
A witness told police that she was sitting in her vehicle in the same parking lot and heard "squealing tires", then observed Maclin's vehicle speeding by.
The witness also said the trunk's lid was bouncing up and down and she saw the victim crying and screaming, "Let me out! Stop, let me out!"
The witness told police Maclin reversed the vehicle at a high speed and came to a stop, which is when the victim jumped out.
The victim allegedly ran toward the witness, holding an injured arm, and asked for help.
Maclin also go out of the vehicle and started to follow her, but returned to his car and parked it across the parking lot when he saw the victim was calling police.
Maclin was arrested a short time later and booked into the Metro jail on a $60,000 bond.
