NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

More heavy rains are possible in middle Tennessee midday through Sunday.

Muggy air and a stationary front will continue to produce off and on scattered thunderstorms Sunday, around 40 percent.

The wet weather pattern will continue this evening and into the first part of next week. Heavy downpours are likely at times. The severe weather threat remains low, but can't be ruled out.

Highs Sunday and Monday are expected to be in the upper 80s.

A frontal boundary near Tennessee will keep our weather pattern unsettled thru Tuesday.  Rainfall totals since 7am include Brentwood at .023", Nashville 0.06", Goodlettsville 0.48" Clarksville 0.76" and Gallatin 0.44".

Highs Sunday and Monday are expected to be in the upper 80s.

Some relief from the rain, heat and humidity will come by the middle of next week.  A front will deliver drier air by Wednesday that will include highs in the lower 80's.

Shower activity will taper off Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and rain chances will go down toward the end of the week.

With the ground already saturated from Thursday's rainfall there is an even greater potential for some localized flooding. Drivers are reminded to "Turn Around, Don't Drown" when approaching flooded roadways.
