As the Tennessee Titans took on the Washington Redskins Thursday night at LP Field, some fans said they were caught off-guard by the new bag regulation recently put in place by the NFL.
Under the new safety measures, fans can only bring, small clutch sized bags, one-gallon freezer bags or clear plastic NFL bags that are available for sale starting at $9.99 at the stadium.
Officials had extra bags on hand for those fans who were unaware of the new regulation, though some said they are unhappy with the new guidelines.
"If had been forewarned prior to getting here than I could have made some changes, but getting here and then being told is a huge inconvenience. Now my husband has to run 30 minutes back to the car. So no I don't like it," one fan told News 2.
According to the NFL's security officer, the new bag regulation will make the job of checking items more efficient on game days, as well as deliver a better experience at the gates and provide a safer environment.
