Men invade south Nashville apartment, rob couple

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Metro police are searching for two men who invaded a home in south Nashville late Monday night.

Police responded to a call at the Mapco located at 1199 Murfreesboro Pike around 11:15 p.m.

Authorities were met by two victims, a man and a woman, who reported that two men, one of which was armed, entered their nearby apartment through an unlocked sliding door.

One suspect, armed with a .22 caliber rifle, ordered the victims to get on the ground.

The male victim refused to comply. The suspect began shooting and demanded he get on the ground again, and to hand over what they had.

The victim complied, handed him personal property, and the suspects fled on foot.

The victims ran to Mapco to call police.

The male victim sustained an abrasion to his left arm but was not transported to the hospital.

The armed suspect is described as a black male between the ages of 19 and 25. He is around five feet, six inches to five feet, eight inches tall and weighs between 120 and 140 pounds. He was wearing all black clothing with a black ski mask and carrying a .22 caliber rifle.

The second suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male between the ages of 19 and 25. He is around five feet, six inches to five feet, eight inches tall and weighs between 160 and 180 pounds. He was wearing all black clothing.
