Amazon announced plans on Monday to fill thousands of positions in several states, including Tennessee.
Officials with the company said 5,000 full-time, part-time and seasonal openings are available to meet growing customer demand, including locally in Murfreesboro and Chattanooga.
According to Amazon, some of the positions pay 30% more than traditional retail jobs.
In addition to fulfillment jobs, Amazon is also working to fill more than 2,000 jobs across its customer service network. Those jobs are available in North Dakota, West Virginia, Washington and Kentucky.
