NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
Nashville residents gathered to share their thoughts, concerns and solutions to AMP, the newly proposed rapid bus transit system.
Since Nashville leaders unveiled plans for AMP, residents along West End Avenue expressed concern the project would make traffic worse.
Speakers representing both sides of the issue attended Saturday's meeting.
Trish Bolian said, "We're going to go back to the future in the sense that today, we are going to act like we are in the 1990s where people listened, communicated, asked questions, non confrontational, and that is my hope, that today people will leave here with more understanding than they came here with."
There are strong feelings regarding this project, but residents say it was an informative session.
