Livingston man faces 5th DUI charge

ALGOOD, Tenn. -

A 47-year-old Livingston, Tennessee man was arrested for his fifth DUI charge Thursday.

According to the Herald Citizen, James Daniels was taken into custody by Algood police after he was observed weaving across the roadway.

At the time of his arrest, the newspaper reported Daniels smelled of alcohol and had red, watery eyes and slurred speech.

He was taken into police custody after performing poorly on a sobriety test.

Authorities said at the time of his arrest, Daniels was driving on a revoked license.

Daniels was previously charged with DUI offenses in 1998, 1999, 2003 and 2007.

He was jailed on a $5,000 bond.
