SANDY RIVER PLANTATION, Maine. -
A Brentwood woman is missing in western Maine. Geraldine Anita Largay was last seen on Sunday, July 21.
The 66-year-old was in Sandy River Plantation when she told her husband she'd meet him in a nearby town the following day, but never arrived.
Largay was last seen wearing a black pullover shirt, tan pants, a blue hat and a black-and-green backpack.
Wardens in Maine are asking for help in searching for Largay.
Lead investigator John MacDonald said detectives are reaching out through social media to see if some of Largay's friends who are still on the trail might know where she is.
He explained that they might not realize she is considered missing and could be contact with her.
On Saturday, approximately 130 searchers took part in the search effort with the Maine Association for Search and Rescue. The search included Maine game wardens, K9 units, and forest rangers, utilizing ATVs and aircrafts.
