NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

ABC's hit show "Nashville" began filming parts of season two Thursday at Centennial Park.

A live performance scene was shot at the Parthenon, where the community was invited to be part of the event.

Hayden Panettiere took the stage as country music star Juliette Barnes.

Locals were invited to volunteer as concert audience extras.

“Just the experience of getting to be involved in something big,” said extra Taylor Sams.

Everyone put time into making sure they looked the part.

“I actually went back to Gap today and bought this scarf. I saw it previously and I thought it would be cute and fun for the show,” said Morgan Hunter about preparing to be an extra.

Three hundred people made the cut to be a part of the “live audience” for the concert scene.

For aspiring actor Austin Martinez, it was exposure to an industry he hopes to be part of one day.

“I guess this is my first big gig. Not really, but I guess so,” he laughed.

Season two is expected to full of more heartbreak, new love and great music.

The hit show returns to Nashville's News 2 on Wednesday, September 25.
