KENNEBUNKPORT, Maine -

Former President George H.W. Bush is wearing his support for a sick child of a secret service agent on his head.

The 89-year-old president shaved his head to support Patrick, 2, who lost his hair because of leukemia treatments.

According to KHOU-TV, President Bush noticed that members of his security detail were suddenly bald. When he discovered the reason, he wanted to join in.

A Web site was launched to help the family with medical bills. Donations can be made at Patrickspals.org.

They are also holding an Inaugural Patrick's Pals Motorcycle Benefit Run on August 10 in Kennebunkport, Maine.

The Bushes lost their second child, Robin, to the same disease 60 years ago when he was just three years old.
