Six people were injured in a single vehicle accident in Greenbrier Friday night. The crash was reported around 8 p.m. at Betts and Edgar Dillard roads, located about 40 miles north of Nashville. According to authorities, a juvenile driver was traveling northbound in a Chevy Tahoe SUV while attempting to negotiate a curve when the crash occurred. After traveling on the other side of the road, the driver then overcorrected and skid into a culvert on the right side of road.
The SUV then hit a tree, traveled back across the roadway and overturned several times.Two passengers were ejected. Three of the six passengers were airlifted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, while the others were transported to Skyline Medical. None of the occupants in the vehicle were wearing seat belts.
