Vanderbilt's mass termination under investigation by attorneys
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
Vanderbilt University Medical Center's recent mass termination is now under investigation by Nashville attorneys.
On Wednesday, civil rights attorney and employment lawyer George Barrett and former U.S. attorney Jerry Martin will hold a news conference at their Nashville office to discuss the circumstances of the major termination of Vanderbilt employees.
In early July, nearly 400 terminations were announced at the Nashville hospital. Additional terminations are expected.
Barrett and Martin have been contacted by affected employees.
The lawyers are investigating whether the hospital's termination violated any state and federal laws.
