One man is in police custody after he chiseled a hole large enough to crawl through into the side of a south Nashville business.
Police found the hole in the cement wall of a strip mall located near the intersection of Wallace Road and Nolensville Pike around 5 a.m. after receiving a call about a suspicious van.
Upon arrival, officers heard a commotion and spotted the suspect, 34-year-old Chris Bilbrey, running from behind the van.
Bilbrey was quickly apprehended.
According to police, Bilbrey chiseled the hole using a hammer and large screwdrivers.
The hole was large enough for Bilbrey to fit through, however, officials have yet to determine if any property was stolen or if any other suspects were involved.
Police also determined the van was stolen from another local business.
Bilbrey was charged burglary, possessing burglary tools, resisting arrest and evading arrest and booked into the Metro jail on a $20,000 bond.
