Bridgestone worker revived after tire plant incident

LA VERGNE, Tenn. -

A worker at the Bridgestone Firestone North American Tire plant in La Vergne has been revived after he was found unresponsive early Friday morning.

Company spokesman Don Darden told Nashville's News 2 co-workers found the man near a tire station at the plant just over the Davidson County line around 5 a.m.

It wasn't immediately clear what happened to him.

The victim was taken by LifeFlight helicopter to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville where he was revived.

As of Saturday night, the victim remains in critical, but stable, condition at Vanderbilt.
