Police are hopeful a convicted felon's arrest in Clarksville will help them advance three murder cases.

Twenty-seven-year-old Brandon Hardison, a known gang member, was taken into police custody on a federal firearms charge.

Authorities say it is believed Hardison may have knowledge regarding the murder of Joshua Henry in late April and the shooting deaths of Derrick Sherden and Amanda Weyland in 2012.

Henry was found shot to death in Madison.  Sherden and Weyland were killed in a Clarksville home.

Nashville's News 2 has obtained the federal criminal complaint that was filed by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives prior to Hardison's arrest.

The complaint states authorities learned the suspect was in possession of a firearm after a picture surfaced on Facebook of Hardison posing and holding two handguns.

Hardison is barred from possessing handguns after felony convictions in 2005 for aggravated robbery and cocaine possession, for which he was sentenced to concurrent eight year and three year terms, respectively.

Those convictions came in Davidson County Criminal Court.

There's no word yet on when Hardison was released from prison or why he was set free early.

Anyone with additional information on Hardison or the homicide cases are urged to call Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME or the Clarksville tips line at 931-645-TIPS.
