NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Nashville's News 2 is partnering with Metro Nashville Animal Care and Control with the goal to find some loving animals good homes.

Each week we will feature one or more pets available for adoption.

This week, we are featuring three dogs and two cats.

Macy is a brown Pointer and Boxer mix. She is 10 months old weighs 29 pounds.

About Macy: I am a Pointer and Boxer mix. Both breeds indicate that I will be a fantastic companion for someone's family. Both breeds are distinguished by even-tempered, playful personality. I will be happiest when I am with you and sorely miss you when you are gone. I therefore would appreciate living inside. I love to run and play and would be great with kids. If you take a chance with me, you will not regret it.

Stevie is a black and white Jack Russell terrier mix. She is one year old and weights 13 pounds.

About Stevie: Like most Jack Russell terriers, I don't know the meaning of quit. If you could bottle my energy, well it would be a really big bottle. But like most pets here at Metro Animal Care and Control, I'm looking for that perfect family that will love me and cherish me. In return, I will be your faithful companion in all your endeavors from watching TV to long walks in the park.

Peaches is a tan Labrador Retriever mix. She is one year old and weighs 46 pounds.

About Peaches: Did you know that Labrador Retrievers are the most popular breed of dog in the United States? It is because we are viewed as one of the best breeds for families. We are well behaved around people including young children and the elderly. Labrador Retrievers are generally known to be well tempered dogs that are smart and athletic. And now that I think of it, that describes me perfectly.

Panda is a white and black domestic medium hair. She is one year old and weights six pounds.

About Panda: Did you know that many people believe there are health benefits from owning a pet such as a cat? Pets can lend an impartial ear, when you need to air your emotions and provide a source of unconditional love. Many people with pets are less like to suffer from depression, anxiety and/or stress. Pets such as cats help people to maintain exercise, playfulness and a sense of humor.

Ashleigh is a gray domestic short hair. She is four years old and weighs nine pounds.

About Ashleigh: I am a housecat and don't need to be put outside. I have been declawed and have no way to protect myself from predators. Can you love me and protect me? The people here at Metro Animal Care and Control are great and take good care of me, but I want more. I want that feeling of belonging back in my life. The feeling of being in a loving family and cherished is nothing to take lightly.

Anyone interested in adopting one of these pets is urged to contact Metro Animal Care and Control at 615-862-7928.
