SPRINGFIELD, Tenn. -

Military families were honored by with an Independence Day celebration on Saturday.

Honeysuckle Hill Farm in Springfield hosted the celebration.

The event included live music, southern cooking, train rides, fireworks and a tree top zip line.

A portion of the proceeds from the event as well as a portion of all zip line revenues at Honeysuckle Hill from the month of July will be donated to Operation Homefront of Kentucky and Tennessee.

Operation Homefront is a nationwide non-profit that provides assistance to the families of service members and wounded warriors.

Jeff Alsup, owner and operator of Honeysuckle Hill Farm, said it's about thanking the men and women who serve our country and their families.

"We're about 30 minutes from Fort Campbell," said Alsup. "We see a lot of military families come in here. So today we're here to say 'Thank you.'"

Military families attended the event free of charge.
