MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -

Ten establishments that serve liquor and beer were cited this week for serving alcohol to a 19-year-old man working with undercover agents.

The sting took place July 3 and involved 17 Murfreesboro businesses. Only seven denied the teen, a 59% failure rate.

Many of the locations had prior failures including Main Street Live, a nightspot where former and current MTSU football players got into a fight and arrests were made.

At 96 Liquor and Wines, clerk Maulik Desai received his second violation in four months.

He told Nashville's News 2 it was just an "accident."

Store owner Iqval Kahlon said he was not there when the alleged violation happened and added, "Mistakes are mistakes.  He didn't do it on purpose. We are all human beings."

In addition Main Street Live and 96 Liquor and Wines, a server at Don Ramon Mexican restaurant was also issued a citation.
