Police: Man removes pants, jumps from downtown bridge
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
Police are searching for a Nolensville man who jumped off the Victory Memorial Bridge in downtown Nashville at 8:30 a.m. Friday.
Office of Emergency Management boats are in the Cumberland River.
Witnesses noticed Samuel Hagens, 19, acting strangely at the MTA bus station at 4th and Charlotte avenues. Hagens ran from there to 3rd Avenue and passed police headquarters before going to the bridge.
He removed his pants, left them on the bridge and jumped more than 30 yards into the river.
