BRENTWOOD, Tenn. -

A man has been arrested after driving his pick-up truck into the Vine Street Wine and Spirits near Nippers Corner early Friday.

The accident occurred around 4:30 a.m. at the business located at 493 Old Hickory Boulevard on July 5.

Shane Owen, 40, drove his vehicle through the front window and door, shattering glass and breaking the frames.

When the car smashed into the store, alarms sounded.

However, Owen had already left the scene.

After a Crime Stoppers tip on Thursday, July 11, police were led to Owen.

During an interview, he admitted his involvement in the "smash and grab" and that he took several bottles of liquor before fleeing the scene.

Owen is charged with burglary.

He has previous convictions for assault, evading arrest and theft.

Hi is being held in lieu of $10,000 bond.
