Authorities are working to identify the man responsible for four separate robberies in Nashville and Williamson County Monday.
The first incident was reported just after Noon at the Dollar Deals located at 2710 Old Lebanon Road.
Police reported the man entered the retailer and pointed a gun at the clerk before demanding the employee open the register.
When the employee told the robber a manager would have to open the register, the suspect uttered an expletive and fled.
A short time later, around 3 p.m., the same suspect is believed to have robbed a Franklin employee who was sitting in his car during a break at a Cool Springs high-rise.
The victim complied with the gunman's request, giving him an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect fled on foot.
At 5 p.m., the man is believed to have approached a woman at an ATM in the parking lot of a Bell Road grocery store. He demanded money and showed the victim a pistol in his waistband.
The victim told the man her card was not working at that particular ATM and the man fled.
Minutes later, at 5:40 p.m. he entered the Joy Cleaners located at 450 Donelson Pike. The suspect showed a pistol and demanded money, police said.
An employee quickly told a customer to call 911, causing the gunman to flee empty handed.
Nashville's News 2 spoke to the dry cleaners' worker, Phillip Lee on Wednesday, one day after the terrifying robbery.
"The customer came in and he just ran out through the back door and [I] told my customer to call 911," he said.
Lee said he is grateful the unsuspecting customer was at the right place at the right time.
"If she comes back I am going to give her everything for free. She is a great person. She saved my life," he said.
The suspect is described as a black male who is around five feet, 10 inches tall and weighs 175 pounds.
At the time of the crimes he was wearing a red and white long sleeve shirt, khaki shorts and a dark cloth covering a portion of his face.Anyone with information on the robberies is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
