NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Are you looking for a new pet?  Check out Nashville's News 2's "Pet of the Week" segment airing every Tuesday morning on Nashville's News 2 This Morning.

This week, three dogs and two cats are featured. All are available for adoption at Metro Nashville Animal Care and Control.

Pandora is a female white maltese mix.  She is 10 months old and weighs 11 pounds.

About Pandora: I am a Maltese mix and I adore humans. Maltese were originally bred to be cuddly companion dogs. We are lively and playful, and our demeanor remains fairly constant throughout our lives. We are considered a perfect dog for urban communities, because we do better with enclosed places and small yards. Please come down and visit with me, I will steal your heart.

Coco is a female German shepherd mix. She is four months old and weighs 24 pounds.

About Coco: Dependable. If I had to choose one word that describes me, that would be it. I am always constant, always vigilant and always fearless. That is why we are the world's leading police, military and guard dog. The reason we are one of the most popular breeds though, is because we are also a faithful family companion. I am looking for that, the perfect home, the perfect family. Will that be with you?

Marge is a female tan beagle mix. She is two years old and weighs 30 pounds.

About Marge: As you can tell from my picture, I love the outdoors. As a beagle mix, I am a pack dog meaning that I am happier when I am surrounded by humans or other dogs. I am clearly out of that puppy phase, so you won't have to worry about puppy troubles. I am still young though and like to play. I am looking for that perfect home and companion, maybe someone who likes to run and could take me. Hmmmm?

Tiger is a male tabby domestic short hair. He is seven months old and weighs 11 pounds.

About Tiger: I am a sweetheart of a cat. At least that's what everyone says, after they visit. But still I sit here, and still I wait. Am I waiting for you? I don't know. The bond between a pet and its owner is a special bond, a special type of love. Come by Metro Animal Care and Control and see if we "click". You never know. You might have thought you were a dog person and leave knowing you're a cat person.

Noche is a female domestic short hair. She is two months old and weighs two pounds.

About Noche: I was having so much fun in the kitten room, playing. That place is awesome! You need to see it, it is up front at Metro Animal Care and Control. It has this big play house in it and there are always kittens in there. There are black ones, brown ones, orange ones, tabbies, torties, torbies and many, many more. The room is great, but I was pulled out and now I have to sit here having my picture made. Are we done yet?

Anyone interested in adopting one of these pets is urged to contact Metro Animal Care and Control at 615-862-7928.
