NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

A four-year-old boy has died of an apparent drowning Sunday afternoon in Nashville.

The incident occurred at the Starline Apartments on Glastonbury Road just after 4 p.m.

According to police, the boy, Andrew Sabry, was with his 12-year-old brother at a nearby playground when he wandered off to the pool alone.

Andrew entered the pool where he began to struggle and went under water.

Police said citizens pulled him from the pool at 4:10 p.m. and tried to revive him.

He was transported to Vanderbilt Children's Hospital where he died Monday morning.
