BRENTWOOD, Tenn. -

More than 50 people gathered Saturday for a tennis tournament benefiting the 2013 ‘Serve to Build Project'.

The tournament was held at Crockett Park in Brentwood to help raise money for the non-profit organization that raises money to build homes for wounded veterans.

The specially adapted homes feature lower counter tops, wider hallways and many other amenities.

Event organizer Kim Wilson said "I would want everyone to know that I really think our community needs to give back to and especially our local community for what it is doing for these two local boys.  It's providing them homes and freedom and a whole new life".

Saturday's event raised $15,000 dollars for the organization that runs solely on donations.
