Composite of wanted suspect released by Franklin police

FRANKLIN, Tenn. -

Franklin police have released a composite sketch of an armed assailant hoping to gather more information.

Authorities reported that around 9:30 p.m. on June 9 a black male suspect approached the victim in the driveway of his home on Clyde Circle in the Ladd Park Subdivision.

The suspect pulled a gun and attempted to force the homeowner inside his home.

The victim resisted and the suspect then tried to drag him into his vehicle.

The suspect fled when neighbors came outside to see what was happening.

Detectives said the suspect is described as a light to medium complected, six foot tall black man weighing around 200 pounds.

He was wearing a white skull cap at the time of the crime.

He had a light beard with some grey hair and was physically fit.

The vehicle is described as a dark blue or black Chevrolet Impala with circular tail lights.Anyone with information in the case is urged to contact Franklin police at 615-794-2513.
