29-year-old Hartsville man jailed for child rape

HARTSVILLE, Tenn. -

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation on Friday arrested a Trousdale County man for sexually abusing a child.

James Jellison, 29, of Hartsville, was arrested and charged with two counts of rape of a child and two counts of aggravated sexual battery of a child.

The TBI began investigating Jellison after a family member of the victim reported the potential abuse to the Trousdale County Sheriff's Office.

Investigators believe the abuse took place between December 2012 and March 2013.

Jellison admitted to abusing the boy and was booked into the Trousdale County jail on $100,000 bond.
