HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. -

Hendersonville police have charged a 27-year-old man with attempting to murder his wife.

According to a release, police received a 911 call from the couple's home on Vintage Circle around 12:20 a.m. Friday.

The woman told police her husband, Theron Allen, fired a shot toward her during an argument and then left the home.

Police caught up with Allen and arrested him following questioning.

He was charged with one count each of attempted murder and reckless endangerment and booked into the Sumner County jail.

A July 24 court date has been set.
