Murfreesboro cab driver robbed at gunpoint

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -

Authorities in Murfreesboro are working to identify the man who robbed a cab driver early Monday morning.

The incident occurred around 3:30 a.m. on Twin Oak's Drive.

According to the sheriff's department, the suspect pulled out a handgun and pointed it at the City Cab driver's ribs before taking the keys to the vehicle, as well as the victim's phone and money.

The man then demanded the driver to walk behind a vacant residence while he fled on foot.

The suspect is identified as a black man around six feet, two inches tall and around 30 years old. At the time of the incident he was wearing a black tank top and white shorts.
