MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -

Police arrested a Murfreesboro man after he called 911 reporting his cable had been shut off.

Dennis Seehof was taken into police custody on Wednesday night at his home located in the 1200 block of East Northfield Boulevard.

The 42-year-old man said he called 911 because that was the only number his phone would dial. He added that he wanted a dispatcher to call a friend of his for money.

Seehof told responding officers that he was aware he was only supposed to call 911 for emergencies.

Seehof was placed into custody and was transported to an area hospital for medical clearance.

While at the hospital, Seehof reportedly said he would break the officer's neck if he did not have handcuffs on.

Seehof is charged with abuse of 911 and retaliation for past actions. Police said he was intoxicated at the time of the incident.

Multiple emergency crews responded to Seehof's call including the Murfreesboro Fire Department and Rutherford County EMS.
