NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Teens are flocking from across the South to visit the Bridgestone Arena Wednesday night.

Pop sensation One Direction, a boy band from the United Kingdom, is taking the stage at 7:30 p.m.

Fans, primarily teenage girls who dub themselves "Directioners", have been hanging outside of the arena for most of the day, buying the group's merchandise and counting down until the show begins.

One fan reminisced about when her parents told her they purchased tickets to the concert.

"'You are going to get to go to a One Direction concert'. I was like, 'Are you kidding me?' They were like, 'Yes, here are your tickets!" and I was like, "Whoooo!" said Rachel Olive, 12-years-old.

Some even drove from Texas so they wouldn't miss out.

A group called 5 Seconds of Summer will be the opening act.
