2 assaulted at Nashville Walmart, Suspect at large

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Metro police are searching for a suspect they say assaulted two victims at an area Walmart on Sunday afternoon.

The alleged incident involving a 15-year-old girl and a 52-year-old woman occurred at the retailer located at 5824 Nolensville Pike around 12:30 p.m.

According to police, the suspect grabbed the teenager in the parking lot and attempted to drag her to a parked, dark gray Toyota Solara convertible with a black top.

The teenager's 17-year-old sister saw what was happening and ran to her younger sister's aid causing the suspect to run to the car.

The girls' father also chased the suspect. The men struggled before the suspect managed to drive off.

The 52-year-old woman reported that the suspect fondled her inside the store.

Police said the suspect is described as a black man who is approximately five feet, 10 inches tall and weighs approximately 180 pounds.

At the time of the incident he was wearing black shorts and a gray shirt.

Authorities added the Toyota Solara the suspect was driving was reported stolen in Illinois on Saturday.

The convertible has an Illinois license plate number R762500.
