With tens of thousands of people flocking to the rural area of the state, authorities are working around the clock to ensure attendees' safety.
"We have our Coffee County's Sheriff's Department, ourselves, the State Health is on site, Highway Patrol, the Tennessee bomb and arson guys are here, so I mean it's pretty well a joint operation here," explained Coffee County Homeland Security Director Allen Lendley.
Authorities will use four-wheelers, motorcycles and a helicopter to patrol the 700 acre farm.
All vehicles on the property are subject to random searches from outside officials, as well as mandatory Bonnaroo security searches. Officials said they are keeping a close eye out for explosives as a response to the deadly Boston Marathon bombings in April.
Bonnaroo continues through Sunday. Paul McCartney, Mumford and Sons and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers will headline the festival.
