NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

An area pastor recently walked more than 200 miles in an effort to raise money for a Christian publication that helps the homeless.

Pastor Greg Locke of Global Vision Bible Church said he felt led to support the FaithUnity OutLoud, a publication sold through the homeless.

"We employ 155 homeless people and we're trying to get up to the 300 mark, and it gets them off the streets, gives them some self-worth, some value," he explained.

Locke started his mission in Murfreesboro and walked a total of 240 miles in six days to Paducah, Kentucky.

During the nearly week long walk, Lock raised $10,000 which will be presented to the publication on Wednesday.

Last fall, Locke camped out on a platform for several days in an effort to collect 100 sleeping bags, 100 bikes, tarps and tents.
