Woman charged in armed robbery spree

A woman from Baxter, Tennessee has been arrested for a robbery spree that occurred in March.

Police said that on the night of March 18, Lisa Kurpieski, 27, first broke into a home and was discovered by the female homeowner.

Kurpieski, armed with a knife, took an undisclosed amount of cash along with other items from the woman and fled the scene.

Later the same night, Kurpieski went into Colonial Market armed with a knife demanding money. She fled the scene with another undisclosed amount of count.

Shortly after, she entered the Frenchman's Market armed with a knife demanding money again. The store clerk told Kurpieski that they were calling 911 and she fled.

After an investigation, Kurpieski was identified as the suspect and indicted on two counts of armed robbery and one count of attempted armed robbery.

Her bond was set at $50,000, however Kurpieski was already serving time in the Putnam County Jail on unrelated charges.

She will remain in custody until she can be arraigned on the new charges.
