NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Fire officials are investigating the cause of a fire that broke out early Friday morning in south Nashville.

Crews were called when a duplex caught fire at 216 Leeshan Court.

The duplex houses one disabled person in each unit.

The unit that caught fire had a caretaker and a disabled person inside. Both were able to make it to safety.

All six occupants of the duplex made it out safely as well.

One side of the duplex is completely destroyed, the other side is badly damaged.

A mattress was apparently set on fire, but the cause is still under investigation.
