Man, 28, accused of raping, kidnapping 12-year-old girl

A man is facing multiple charges after he allegedly kidnapped a 12-year-old girl last weekend and raped her.

The incident happened on Saturday, May 25 when the suspect, 28-year-old Jason Diehl approached the girl and forced her into his vehicle at gunpoint.

He then threatened to shoot the victim in the stomach if she said anything as they drove to a vacant lot on 21st Avenue North.

While in the lot, Diehl raped the girl at gunpoint, threatening to shoot her if she screamed.

The girl then walked home after she was dropped off at a market on Clarksville Pike.

Police used a photo to identify Diehl and make the arrest.

Authorities said Diehl is a friend of the victim's family.

Diehl is currently in jail on a $100,000 bond. He has been arrested multiple times over the past decade.
