NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Another former University of Tennessee volleyball player has backed up her teammates regarding the allegations against former coach, Julie Hermann.

Erin Zammett Ruddy posted in her blog Wednesday that "our intention was to see Julie go because there was no way any of us could continue at UT with her at the helm. Our intention today is not to see her suffer or to take her down in anyway."

Zammett played volleyball under Hermann from 1996 to 1997.

Hermann is under fire for being verbally abusive during her time coaching Tennessee volleyball after being hired to be Rutgers' new athletic director.

Hermann was hired to replace Tim Pernetti after he stepped down from the post ion after former men's basketball coach Mike Rice's abusive coaching techniques were exposed last April.
