Clarksville community garden damaged by vandals

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -

Police are working to identify the vandals who damaged a Clarksville community garden recently.

According to police, someone ripped out vegetables at the Brandon Hill Youth Heritage Garden last weekend.

"I told the kids maybe this person needed it and God has a plan for us. What they took would hurt us now, but who knows what God has planned for us, so we move forward," founder Geneva Bell said.

Officials said the potato and cabbage plants were planted in early spring and were supposed to be donated to the Manna Café food initiative.
