NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
A man is in jail after allegedly exposing himself in front of children at an apartment complex's pool.
According to police, Chris Thompson, 28, was sitting at the pool at the Chase Cove Apartments on Smith Springs Road when four witnesses saw him with his hands down his pants.
Witnesses told police it appeared he was touching himself while staring at the children in the pool.
After he was arrested, authorities said he became irate and started spitting on the back of the cruiser.
Thompson also kicked the vehicle's windows and doors. According to reports, he kicked the door so hard that it no longer closes properly.
Thompson, who does not live at the apartment complex, was arrested for four counts of indecent exposure, vandalism and trespassing.
According to the TBI registry, Thompson is a registered sex offender, with a criminal record that includes three different sexual battery charges and two indecent exposure charges.
