NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Police are investigating a shooting that took place in a crowded parking lot in north Nashville Saturday and injured two people.

Police received several calls about shots being fired at 612 17th Avenue North at Watkins Park.

Both victims were attending the ‘Jo Johnston Come Together Day' at Watkins Park, before a fight broke out in the parking lot.

One victim was talking with his sister when he noticed there were people arguing in a black SUV and a gray or green Chevy Malibu.

He then heard three to five shots fired. Someone told him that he was bleeding from the head and that is when he realized he was shot.

His sister immediately drove him to Baptist Hospital.

The second victim told police that he was in the parking lot talking with friends when he observed a fight near a blue Chevy Tahoe with tinted windows.

The second victim also told police that several people were attacking the SUV with their hands and shattered the driver side passenger window.

Police said the back seat passenger of the blue Chevy Tahoe fired the gun.

The victim described the suspect as a black male, approximately 27 or 28 years-old with a faded hair style and no facial hair.

Detectives need help finding the shooters.

If you know anything about the shooting call Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME or 615-862-8600.
