Man kicks judge at local store in retaliation for past ruling

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Tenn. -

A children's busdriver is accused of attacking a judge in an act of retaliation.

Rutherford CountyJudge Larry Brandon was at a local Hobby Lobby when a man confronted him andasked if he was a judge.

Judge Brandon answeredaffirmatively, and the man kicked him in the leg.

After police werecalled and began searching for the man, they were notified that Greg Moncierhad turned himself in.

Police reported thatJudge Brandon presided over the foreclosure of Moncier's home three months ago.

According to reports,Moncier said that his actions were not worthy of a mentor and that he "thoughtit would him feel better, but all it did was make things worse."

He was charged withsimple assault and retaliation for a past action.

He is being held on$5,500 bond and is due in court July 9.
