Music City Center opens doors to public

After three and half years of construction the Music City Center is officially opening this Sunday.

The grand opening is a massive celebration and the public is invited to join in on the fun on Sunday and Monday.

The Music City Center will have host a free open house on both days.

On Sunday, Phil Vassar and Ten Out of Tenn will perform on the east plaza.

On Monday, MCC will host a free street party and concert. Performers include: The Time Jumpers, Vince Gill, Fisk Jubilee Singers, Mikky Ekko and Sheryl Crow.

The street party on Monday will end with a grand finale of fireworks.

At 1:30 Mayor Dean will start a walk around Music City Center.

From 2-6 p.m. there will be public preview tours and an open house.

During the open house there will be live music throughout the building. The Nashville Symphony will perform at 3 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom.

Children's activities such as a zip line, and inflatables will also be offered.
