FRANKLIN, Tenn. -

A Franklin couple remains jailed after police discovered a substantial amount of marijuana growing inside their home earlier this week.

Todd and Tiffiny Wells were taken into police custody on Wednesday night after officers responded to the home to investigate an argument between neighbors in the 1100 block of Hunters Chase Drive.

While making contact with the residents of the home, responding officers detected an overwhelming odor of marijuana.

Upon entering the home, officers discovered an elaborate marijuana operation that included special lighting and irrigation.

Police also seized 50 plants, which are estimated to be worth more than $5,000.

Todd and Tiffiny Wells are both charged with manufacture/delivery of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Both remained jailed on a $75,000 bond.
